For the future of healthcare—tomorrow and beyond.
〜 Our Philosophy 〜
Regardless of age or lifestyle, the musculoskeletal system—which governs the body’s ability to move—forms the foundation of quality of life (QOL).
Cubex Medical is committed to contributing to the advancement of medicine by developing superior medical devices for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and disorders.
〜 Our Mission 〜

Medical science continues to evolve rapidly, and treatments considered optimal today may change significantly within just a few years.
Throughout this process of advancement, the orthopedic field in Japan has long been dominated by major Western manufacturers. In other words, Western companies develop medical devices suited to treatment methods devised by Western physicians and distribute them not only in their own regions but across the global market, including Japan.
Although we are a relatively young orthopedic medical device manufacturer established in 2019, our mission from the outset has been to take the opposite approach: to develop medical devices tailored to innovative treatment methods conceived by leading Japanese physicians, and to promote their adoption not only in Japan but worldwide.
〜 Integration with the Himawari Method and Future Prospects 〜
To provide better medical care, it is essential to have medical devices that are well suited to the treatment methods they support.
Since our establishment, we have developed products optimized for techniques such as the Himawari Technique and the CLAP method.
We will continue to develop medical devices that contribute to the advancement and global adoption of innovative treatment methods originating in Japan, thereby supporting the progress of medicine.
We also welcome inquiries from physicians engaged in the research of new treatment methods—not limited to orthopedics—and encourage you to contact us at any time.
We also welcome inquiries from companies interested in applying their proprietary technologies to medical devices.
The era has already shifted from self-reliant, vertically integrated closed innovation to open innovation.
We are committed to actively promoting collaboration with partner companies.

We also welcome inquiries from physicians researching new treatment methods, not limited to orthopedics, and encourage you to contact us at any time.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support of Cubex Medical.
Helios Locking Pin Sleeve System

In the past, patellar fractures were generally thought to consist predominantly of simple two-part fractures, such as transverse fractures. However, with recent advances in imaging technology, it has become clear that even fractures appearing to be simple transverse types often involve three or more fragments and are, in fact, comminuted.
The patella plays a central role in the knee extension mechanism. When fractured, strong forces from the quadriceps tendon and patellar ligament act to displace the fragments proximally and distally, necessitating accurate reduction and rigid internal fixation.
The Himawari Technique, developed in Japan, has made it possible to treat patellar fractures that cannot be adequately managed by the traditional European technique of Tension Band Wiring (TBW).
The Helios Locking Pin Sleeve System was developed to enable the Himawari Method to be performed more simply and accurately.
Specifically, it features pins with a tip design that allows easy insertion, while maintaining a slim yet strong profile that minimizes interference between pins within the patella. The system also incorporates a thin, flexible, and durable cable for easy handling, along with compact and user-friendly instruments.
Another advantage of the Himawari Method is that its rigid fixation allows for early initiation of active rehabilitation. This facilitates faster recovery of knee flexion and extension function, enabling patients to return more quickly to their pre-injury condition.
The Helios Locking Pin Sleeve System not only improves the ease of surgical procedures but also supports better postoperative rehabilitation, thereby contributing to improved clinical outcomes and higher patient satisfaction.
